This policy applies specifically to posting client promotions into Facebook groups.
It does not mean I cannot help with a client’s Facebook Business Page. If I am given the correct admin or page access, I can help create, schedule, or manage approved content for a client’s business page where agreed.
Facebook groups work differently.
Many Facebook groups are linked to personal profiles, group rules, admin approval, and anti-spam restrictions. For this reason, I do not use my own personal Facebook account to post client promotions into Facebook groups on behalf of another business.
When promotional content is posted into groups, several things can go wrong:
The group may not allow business advertising.
The post may be seen as spam.
The same or similar content may be posted too often.
Group admins may remove the post or block the person posting.
Facebook may limit the account from posting, commenting, or using group features.
If I use my own personal Facebook profile to post for another business and something is flagged, it is my account that carries the risk.
That could affect my ability to manage my own business pages, communicate with clients, access groups, and use Facebook normally.
Managing or posting to a client’s Facebook Business Page with the correct access is different from posting into Facebook groups from a personal profile.
Where agreed, I can help with Facebook Business Page content, such as:
Creating page posts
Scheduling approved content
Writing captions
Preparing graphics
Helping with content planning
Keeping the page active and professional
This is separate from group posting.
Although I do not post client promotions into Facebook groups from my own personal account, I can still help in safer ways.
I can prepare:
Facebook group post wording
Promotional captions
Canva-style post ideas
Image text and layout suggestions
Content calendars
Group-friendly wording that the client can post themselves
Advice on how often to post and how to avoid looking spammy
If a business wants to promote itself in Facebook groups, the safest option is usually for the business owner to post from their own personal profile or business page, following the rules of each group.
I can create the wording, graphics, captions, and posting suggestions so you can post from your own account or business page.
For clients who are not confident using Facebook, I can guide you through the posting process during a screen-share session while you remain logged into your own account.
This means I can help you understand what to post, where to post it, and how to keep it group-friendly, without needing to use my own personal profile.
Where suitable, I can help with content for your Facebook Business Page through proper page access.
However, many Facebook groups do not allow business Pages to join or post, so group posting often needs to be done by the business owner from their own personal profile, following each group’s rules.
I do not post into Facebook groups using my own personal Facebook account on behalf of clients.
I can help manage or prepare content for a client’s Facebook Business Page where proper access has been given and agreed.
I can also create or prepare group-friendly content for clients to post themselves, but the actual group posting must be done by the client or through an approved business page/account where appropriate.
This protects my account, the client’s business reputation, and keeps the process clear and transparent.
